Matthew Webster
Matt Webster is the Owner and Operator of Indy Hoops Academy. As an Indianapolis native, he has been around basketball his entire life. Matt played high school basketball at Westfieldbut transferred his senior year to Sheridan High School. Following graduation in 2003, he was Starting Forward at the University of Evansville where he was one of the top players in school history. A few of his collegiate basketball accomplishments include: top 10 in scoring, 1st in free throws made, most free throws made consecutively in a game (18), and 2nd in Missouri Valley conference history (behind Oscar Robertson) in free throws made.
Upon graduation in 2007, Matt went on to play professionally where he spent five years playing overseas in Spain, France, and Portugal. A championship in Spain his final season rounded out his outstanding professional career. He and his wife, Brittney, made the decision to move back to the US in 2012 following the diagnosis of their son's autism. They relocated their family back to Indiana and Matt has been coaching basketball since. He coaches at the high school level at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. He has also coached for several youth organizations.
Matt's idea to start Indy Hoops Academy was due to his love of seeing children improve on and, most importantly, off the court. When not on the court, Matt uses every free moment to enjoy time with his wife and three amazing children.
